It was an absolute delight to plan and oversee Flora and David's magical wedding at Grantley Hall on June 2nd, 2024. The day began bright and early at 4am, with the talented production team Evallance setting up the ceremony area. Following closely behind was the incredibly talented florist Kelly Louise, whose beautiful creations sbrought the setting to life by 10am.
Our team ensured that every detail was perfect, from the chairs, charger plates, and cutlery provided by Great Options Hire, to the stunning cake from Where the Ribbon Ends for the Grantley Suite. Evallance even laid a white carpet in the suite to maintain the dreamy ambiance from the ceremony to the dinner (Sandie will cover hotel carpet at any chance!) The seamless order of setup included the ceremony area, Grantley Suite, Orchid, Grantley Suite, and finally, Valeria’s.
Capturing every precious moment of the day were the talented Juno Films as the videographer and Andrew Bayda as the photographer. All stationary, meticulously designed, was created by Millie Rose, adding a touch of elegance to every aspect of the wedding.
The festivities officially kicked off at 3pm as guests arrived for the ceremony, where the enchanting harpist Soraya welcomed them. Each guest received an order of service and was gracefully escorted to their seats. The ceremony commenced at 3.30pm, followed by a delightful drinks reception at 4.15pm in the serene orchard, and a sumptuous dinner at 5.45pm in the opulent Grantley Suite.
Entertainment was a key highlight of the evening, with Andre Saxman Brown serenading guests during the drinks reception, while Soraya enchanted with her harp and Michael with his piano skills during dinner. The heartfelt speeches by Flora's dad, the best man, and the groom were truly touching, culminating in Flora's outfit change into a stunning Vivienne Westwood dress for the cake cutting and first dance.
The party truly began after dinner, with the master of ceremonies Mark transitioning into introducing DJ Joel, who kept the dance floor alive until 11pm when evening food was served. The celebration continued at Valeria’s, where guests danced the night away until 2.30am.
Post-celebrations, the meticulous de-rig of the Grantley Suite was completed by 2.45am as guests moved to Valeria’s to continue the festivities. The wedding was a success, filled with love, joy, and unforgettable memories that will be cherished for years to come. As cheesy as it sounds we do remember and cherish each and every event but especially our weddings.
